CONFLICT COACH & TRAINER, AUTHOR, GUEST LECTURER, DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (PHD), PODCASTER, AWARD-WINNING PERFORMER, VO

Dr. Crystina Wyler is the Founder and President of The Artful Communicator Inc. and Art Transforms Conflict, an award-winning communicator, coach, and performer with over 30 years of experience in television, stage, and film. A pioneer in conflict transformation and creative communication, she developed the “Thoughtful Active Communication Method” to help individuals unlock their potential, uncover their inner “artful communicator,” and transform conflict into a force for positive change.

Dr. Wyler earned her PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from Nova Southeastern University in 2020. Her dissertation, “Keepers of the Cultural Flame: How Syrian Refugee Women Maintain Their Cultural Identity,” explored how Syrian refugee women in Jordan and Lebanon preserve and transmit their cultural heritage amid displacement. She continues to focus her work on arts-based communication training for marginalized communities worldwide, with a special emphasis on empowering women and youth often excluded from peacebuilding efforts.

Through her nonprofit, Art Transforms Conflict, Dr. Wyler provides workshops and training in conflict transformation, dialogue facilitation, and cultural sensitivity. Her programs have been tailored for refugee populations, first responders, law enforcement, and other groups managing diverse and volatile environments. Believing in the transformative power of creativity, she notes, “When our creative side is engaged, our defense mechanisms are lowered, allowing us to walk in the shoes of others and discover our shared humanity.”
