DR. CRYSTINA WYLER

CONFLICT COACH & TRAINER, AUTHOR, GUEST LECTURER, DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (PHD), PODCASTER, AWARD-WINNING PERFORMER, VO

A pioneer in conflict transformation through arts-based methods, Dr. Crystina Wyler is the Founder and President of The Artful Communicator, a network of colleagues and trainers around the world who share her belief in the power of creative communication to promote individual, organizational and social change.
An award-winning coach and performer for over 30 years, Dr. Wyler has seen first-hand the transformative power of creativity to help groups develop more effective communication, collaboration and leadership skills. “I believe that the art of communication is what truly makes a difference in our multicultural world and that’s what makes The Artful Communicator both an organization and an inspiration. Communication, collaboration, leadership – these are not in-born talents. They are skills that can be developed, practiced and polished. Everyone can be an artful communicator – they just need to discover it.”
Through her nonprofit organization Art Transforms Conflict, Dr. Wyler provides workshops and training in conflict transformation, dialogue facilitation, and cultural sensitivity. Her international programs have been tailored for refugee populations, first responders, law enforcement, and other groups managing diverse and volatile environments. Dr. Wyler earned her PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from Nova Southeastern University in 2020 and continues to focus her work on arts-based communication training for marginalized communities worldwide, with a special emphasis on empowering women and youth often excluded from peacebuilding efforts.
Recent publications include “My Body, My Voice: Women and the Art of Protest” (2024) and she is currently collaborating on a project reconsidering the role of emotions in conflict resolution.
