AITCH ALBERTO

AWARD WINNING-FILMMAKER, WRITER, DIRECTOR

Born and raised in Miami, FL, Aitch Alberto is a Latinx filmmaker, who most recently wrote and directed ARISTOTLE AND DANTE DISCOVER THE SECRETS OF THE UNIVERSE, based on the book by Benjamin Alire Saenz and produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eugenio Derbez among others. The film went on to premiere at TIFF 2022 and was nominated for a GLAAD Media award. Aitch is the recipient of a Skowhegan Artist Residency, a Yaddo fellowship, and a Sundance Episodic Lab fellow and an Outfest Screenwriting Lab alum.

She was included on The Black List’s inaugural Latinx List, Variety’s 10 Directors to Watch for 2022 list, and Indiewire’s 22 Rising Female Filmmakers to Watch in 2022. She has written on the BAFTA-nominated AppleTV+ anthology series Little America and the upcoming HBO Max series Duster, a 1970s-set crime drama from J.J. Abrams and LaToya Morgan.

Aitch is a force of strength, talent, and relentless perseverance, rapidly rising as one of the most impactful Latinx voices of our time. Her inspiring journey proves that no dream is too big and that with determination, anything is possible.
